India is known as Bharatham, Bharatha varsham in historical sources. Indian civilization is considered as one of the oldest civilizations in the world.
It has large amount of great architecture works, monuments, science inventions, great Carnatic music, Oldest medicine inventions including Siddha and Ayurvedha and very large number of literature works in multiple languages.
India is peninsula region by nature. It has “The Himalayas” in its northern side and three sides covered by sea (Indian ocean in the south, Bay of Bengal in the east and Arabian sea in the west). It is democratic country by its constitution.
It is politically divided as 28 states and 8 union territories.
Indian parliament has Lok sabha (Lower house), Rajya sabha (Upper house)
Cherrapunjee which is considered as the wettest place of world is located in Indian state Meghalaya.
It has big desert called as “Thar” which is also hottest place where temperature recorded more than 50°C.
Almost 22% of its area covered by Forest.
It has many 1000+ kilo meters long rivers (Ganga, Indus, Brahmaputra, Godavari, Krishna, Narmada ..etc).
Snow fall can be seen if we visit Manali, Himalayas regions like Ladakh, Kashmir and Shimla.
So it very much diverse in nature wise across country.
It has 22 official languages, 100+ major languages and 1000+ other languages.
Because of its multi-culture, multi religions multi religions, multi-language and multi nature it seems very unique country in the world. So is also called Sub continent 😀
